Nicole serves as Program Manager of Jewish Family Services as well as Clinical Supervisor of the Counseling Center. In this role, Nicole provides supervision to all of our direct service staff members in the Counseling Center, Senior Outreach, My Solutions Case Management and Community Support Programs, enabling our day to day operation at JFS to function more effectively and efficiently. Additionally, Nicole maintains a case load of clients she sees for counseling and case management.
Since joining JFS in 2008, Nicole has counseled children, adolescents, adults and seniors as a Clinical Therapist. As Case Manager, Nicole works directly with individuals and families who are facing obstacles, empowering them to identify and overcome their barriers to self-sufficiency through individual action plans, recommendations and referrals. Nicole believed in collaboration and bring our community together to meet the needs of the whole.
Nicole has training in CBT (cognitive behavioral Therapy), DBT (dialectic behavioral therapy) skills, geriatric studies, marriage and family work, as well as using interactive therapy to engage clients. Nicole believes in a strength based perspective and meeting a person where they are.
Nicole previously worked with children and adolescents in the school system providing in school therapy, special needs children and their families, grandparents raising grandchildren, and as a Social Worker for the Levine Children’s Hospital oncology department. Nicole has also worked with adolescent in a safe home and family case management. Undergraduate: Queens University (Psychology and Sociology); Master’s: Boston University (Social Work); Certification in Marriage and Family Therapy; Certified Clinical Social Worker in Gerontology (CSW-G).
