Howard S. Olshansky

As Executive Director, Howard is responsible for furthering the JFS mission to strengthen and empower individuals and families through professional counseling, programs and services inspired by Jewish values. He oversees the operations, assessment, collaboration and development related to all of our programs: The Counseling Center, Senior Outreach, My Solutions Case Management and Community Support Programming.

Howard brings over 25 years in nonprofit leadership, community collaboration and creative revenue diversification. He has led numerous organizations including Boys Town, Nevada, The Children’s Place at Home Safe in West Palm Beach, The Arc of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, Va. and The Arc of Palm Beach County. He was also executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Ostroff Group in Boca Raton, overseeing operations and providing consulting services primarily to Jewish nonprofits in the areas of fund development, organizational development, strategic planning and marketing.

Howard relocated to Charlotte with his wife of over 30 years, Karen, and his adult daughters and their families, including his cherished 4 year old granddaughter, Dennie.
