Jewish Family Services seeks to maintain the independence and dignity of senior adults, while keeping them connected to Jewish traditions and the community through programs that address the mental and emotional challenges of aging.
Friendly visits, phone calls and Jewish programming -our staff, with the help of amazing volunteers, support homebound seniors as well as to residents of local independent, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. JFS staff, community volunteers and clergy from area temples conduct lectures and Shabbat services, and provide music and entertainment programs based on Jewish themes. This outreach is often the only connection these seniors have to their Jewish roots.
Information & Referrals. Navigating all of the community resources can feel overwhelming and it is difficult to determine the best source for help. JFS staff can provide information and guidance so you and your loved ones can make the best possible decisions.
Holocaust Survivor Services – JFS is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our community’s Holocaust survivors. Our senior engagement team has the expertise and the sensitivity to address the unique needs and interests of this community and their family members.
