Jewish Family Services seeks to maintain the independence and dignity of senior adults, while keeping them connected to Jewish traditions and the community through programs that address the mental and emotional challenges of aging.
Our friendly staff, with the help of amazing volunteers, provide visits, phone calls and Jewish programming to homebound seniors as well as to residents of local independent, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. JFS staff, community volunteers and clergy from area temples conduct lectures and Shabbat services, and provide music and entertainment programs based on Jewish themes. This outreach is often the only connection these seniors have to their Jewish roots.
We are also here to help you with Information & Referrals. When available community resources seem overwhelming and it is difficult to determine the best source for help, JFS staff can provide you with a list of available community resources to help you make the best choices.
