It was an evening of laughter, an evening of friendship and one of tremendous generosity. Almost 300 guests of all ages showed up and stepped up to help those who call upon JFS in their time of need.
The Pre-Comedy Show receptions were brimming with excitement. The Program kicked off with raffle drawings and a brilliant, heart-felt testimonial from Eden Banarie, a JFS client who told her story of devastation after her life-long friend committed suicide and in turn SHE had to deal with her own mental health. A moving presentation of the growing need for services, given by JFS Executive Director, Howard Olshansky, and a high-energy live auction had the crowd really going. And just as the Call to Heart was about to begin, Eric and Lori Sklut offered a match. The intensity in the room grew as people opened their hearts and their wallets to support JFS.
The Comedy Show itself was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment he took the stage, Headliner, Orny Adams, delivered a show filled with hilarity and energy.
Kudos to Co-Chairs Suzy Catenazzo and Andrea Cronson who along with Susan Meyer, JFS Development Manager, for their hard-work and creativity. THANK YOU to all of our sponsors, volunteers, committee members, the JFS Staff and Board and ALL of our attendees. It was a night to remember. An Evening of Laughter….A Lifetime of Healing.
