Welcome to the Jewish Family Services of Greater Charlotte website. I hope whether you are visiting our site to access support, interested in helping out or are just looking to gain more information about JFS, that you are able to easily find the information you need.
JFS has been serving our community for 40 years. With the support of our community, JFS is providing critical services to members of our community. We are committed to raising awareness around social issues impacting our community as well as celebrating Jewish culture and traditions.

Our History
Founded in 1980, Jewish Family Services has evolved from an agency serving Jewish Russian immigrants, seniors, and the financially needy to one that provides a full range of programming, counseling and social service assistance to the entire Greater Charlotte community.
What We Do
Jewish Family Services assists those facing daily challenges, life’s transitions, new hardships and unexpected crises.
Our programs provide education, engagement, counseling, food, care management, financial assistance, resources and referrals.
Our services are available to all individuals – from children and adolescents to families and the elderly – regardless of religious affiliation, ethnicity, race, culture, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. Our compassionate health care professionals administer comprehensive programs that offer comfort, counseling and connection to a broad network of support.
Growing steadily each year, JFS offers programs and services in a variety of settings from Charlotte to Lake Norman and as far south as Sun City.
